MEASURING GUIDE

Measure the opening before you choose the system.

Accurate dimensions help us recommend the correct custom screen window or door configuration. Take the measurements below and send photos of the frame with your enquiry.

BEFORE YOU START

Choose the mounting condition first.

Inside mount

The screen fits inside the existing frame. This is usually suitable when the frame is even and there is enough depth for the required system.

Outside mount

The screen overlaps the outer face of the frame. This can provide more coverage when the frame is uneven or an inside fit is not practical.

INSIDE MOUNT

Measure three points, then use the safe value.

Width

  1. Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle and bottom.
  2. Record the narrowest reading.
  3. Do not make deductions unless our team requests one for the selected system.

Height

  1. Measure the inside frame height at the left, centre and right.
  2. Record the tallest reading.
  3. Confirm any sill or floor-clearance requirement with our team.

OUTSIDE MOUNT

Include the overlap around the opening.

Width

  1. Measure the outside width of the opening or frame.
  2. Tell us the available overlap on both sides.
  3. Photograph the surrounding wall or frame area.

Height

  1. Measure from the sill or finished floor to the top of the opening.
  2. Tell us the available overlap above and below.
  3. For doors, note any threshold, handle or clearance issue.
